Onefeed 2020 – What A Year!

Well, what a year. 2020 probably won’t be missed by many of you and you’ll be glad to see the tail end of a year none of us could have predicted this time 12 months ago.

We’re sure you’re sick of hearing it, but living through a pandemic and enduring the uncertainty it’s caused has naturally been tricky for our team, as it has been for many others. By working hard together, we’ve made sure we’ve provided vital support and clarity to our clients, as well as each other! We wanted to take a quick pause before the inevitable January sale madness kicks in to reflect on what has been, at the very least, a year to remember.

We’ve had new Onefeeders join us!

Over the past 12 months, we’ve been extremely fortunate to have new Onefeeders join the team. We’ve continued to grow despite what has been a bizarre period for all industries and we absolutely love having these new faces along for the ride – even though we’ve only ever seen some through video call! We can’t wait for us all to be together in the office so we can get to know each other even better (whenever that may be).

We’ve explored new territory and offered a wide range of new services!

With the growth of the team, we’ve added a wealth of experience to Onefeed, and with that we’ve been able to provide even more services for our clients. We’ve put organic social, SEO, and email marketing into the mix, and have seen some tremendous results already. We’re excited to keep building these services in 2021 – if you would like our assistance in any of these areas or PPC drop us a line at hello@onefeed.co.uk or visit our site today.

We created offices in our homes!

We’ll never forget the PM’s message that fateful Monday evening in March asking us to stay home and leave the trusty Onefeed office space behind. Some built their home offices out of budget £10 desks from bargain retailers, whilst others went with something a little more extravagant (ditching the sofa for an ergonomic chair and treating themselves to 2 monitors as opposed to a single laptop screen). We put our weekly in-person meetings on hold and, with the joys of Microsoft Teams and Zoom, were able to virtually put our heads together and keep up-to-date with what everyone has been up to. One perk of working from home was that many of us were joined by our furry friends, giving our resident office dog Charlie a break from all the attention (he was thrilled to put his paws up, we’re sure).

We’ve kept team culture alive!

We’ve always tried to put an emphasis on team culture, and we’ve made a huge effort to keep the ball rolling. We jumped on the Zoom quiz hype early on and we’ve kept the enthusiasm going, treating ourselves to a tipple (or two) as we’ve racked our brains over questions on music, general knowledge as told by a 7 year old, and more! Our super software developer Darren will be the reigning quiz champion going into 2021, but there are a few dark horses and young pretenders after his title.

We’ve also kept up our favourite Onefeed tradition – pay day lunch! Each pay day, we’ve kindly been treated to a takeaway lunch of our choice, and should give a huge shout out to Client Manager Dom for putting many a complicated Subway order through Deliveroo and making this possible.

We welcomed a new mini Onefeeder!

As well as growing the grown-up team, we saw our SEO Manager Natasha welcome a beautiful baby girl in November. Congrats again Tash.

We enjoyed festivities virtually!

We love doing Secret Santa each year and even though we couldn’t be together, we made sure we kept the tradition alive. With the help of Dom, we drew names virtually and opened our gifts together on a classic video call. Along with Secret Santa, we also joined in with Christmas Jumper Day.

And we couldn’t have done it without YOU!

We want to thank all our amazing clients for working with us during a wild time, allowing us to help their accounts grow. We’re thankful to our team for working hard together, keeping each other going when things were tough and proving just how much of a strong team Onefeed is.

Happy New Year and here’s a positive 2021!
